The Nikkei is up 4 points today in Japan.
The Dow gained nearly 62 points Thursday.
The Nasdaq added 19.

In a deal worth $2.1 billion, Royal Dutch Shell has agreed to sell its drilling rights in shale formations in Louisiana and Wyoming - and in a separate deal, Shell will receive drilling rights to lucrative land in Ohio and Pennsylvania.
The move comes as the company focuses on onshore U.S. drilling to boost profits.

The online review site  YELP is hiring. The company says it has plans to expand - opening a new office in Chicago next year and expects to hire 300 people. Chicago will become the seventh city where the company has an office.

And it really is a dog's life. A new feature launching today on Dogvacay's iPhone app will 'bark' in order to get your canine's attention. The app emits one of several sounds that - in theory - should get your pooch to pay attention and pose for the camera. Meows and squeaky toy sounds are other options available. The Santa Monica based company already lets owners book dog stays throughout the U.S. and Canada.
