If you're keeping on top of the markets today, Monday, June 9,  2014...

The Nikkei is up 47 points today in trading in Tokyo.
The Dow closed up 88 points Friday.
And the Nasdaq gained 25.

Across the board, stocks edged up Friday on news of healthy job growth in the month of May.

Investors will see a big change in the price of Apple stock when the markets open Monday.
The tech giant is now valued below $100 a share after a seven for one stock split.
Apple investors will have seven shares for every one share previously held. 

Beverage giant Coca-Cola is taking on the obesity epidemic with an online video that showcases ways to burn off the 140 calories in a can of Coke.
The ad, which says it takes about 23 minutes of cycling to burn 140 calories shows happy cyclists working hard to earn a can of cola.
Coca-Cola's video is in response to growing criticism from health advocates who say soda fuels obesity and contributes to other diet-related health issues.

And Colorado's Governor has signed legislation to create the world's first financial system for the marijuana industry.
The bill seeks to form a network of uninsured cooperatives that will give pot businesses access to basic financial services.
Colorado has allowed recreational pot sales since January 1...but because banks don't want to violate federal law, .most pot-based businesses are cash only.
The cooperatives will still need approval from the U.S. Federal Reserve.
