If you're keeping on top of the markets this morning, Monday, June 30, 2014...

The Nikkei is up 67 points today in Tokyo.
On Wall Street, the Dow added 6 points by the close Friday.
And the Nasdaq was up 19.

A report on pending home sales for May is due in the coming week.
Last month pending homes sales for April were up  nearly a half percent.

General Motors will soon unveil its compensation plan for victims of its faulty ignition switches.
Eligible victims can take the payout - instead of suing the company.
At least 13 people died and several others injured in crashes related to the defect.

Astronauts are one step closer to having coffee that's more like home.
The international space station is getting a real italian espresso machine. Companies Argotec and Lavazza are working on the project.
Astronauts of all nationalities - but especially the Italians - have long complained about the instant coffee served in pouches.
Italy's first female astronaut should be aboard the space station when the specially designed espresso machine arrives early next year.
