It stands for 1 Million Cups and more than 140 local business people showed up at the official launch Wednesday morning to learn how it can help them.
The Kauffman Foundation created the national program centered on connecting and educating entrepreneurs over conversation- since most business is done over a cup of coffee.
"They get to connect with people who support the entrepreneurial community,” says Sterling Huff, a co-organizer of the event. “Mentors, lawyers, advisors, lawyers bankers, financier, etc."
At each 1 Million Cups meeting two local entrepreneurs present for six minutes. Then they answer audience questions for 20 minutes apiece.
1MC free to attend every Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the E-factory on North Jefferson.
