Facebook Post Leads to Murder-Suicide Investigation

KANSAS CITY, Ks. (KCTV)- A man is dead after police in Kansas say he killed an Overland Park woman while on a mission to kill his ex-girlfriend.

According to KCTV, at about 6:39 p.m. on Tuesday, Kansas City Police Department officers say they were called by the Overland Park Police Department who received a social media tip that the body of a missing woman had been seen.

Bryanna Spencer says she went to the police, about her ex, Kareem McCoy-Lee, when she saw his Facebook post about killing another woman.

In the posts, Lee talks about his plan to kill a woman named Bryanna. He also says, in a later post, "Body across from 8503 Hillcrest Rd, d--- gun jammed."

"She really didn't deserve anything she had absolutely nothing to do with this, she was just literally a pawn in it, in his sick twisted game," says Bryanna.

The body has been identified as  18-year-old Mikayla Norris, who reportedly went missing Sunday evening. Norris' body was later found in a nearby wooded area.

Bryanna says McCoy-Lee sped up behind her firing at her with a gun but missing. She fled and got help from two men working on a billboard sign.

Police in Liberty, Missouri found McCoy-Lee's body inside of Norris' car, dead of an apparent suicide.
