Chris the Critic from the Missouri Film Alliance joins us once again to dish on the latest and greatest box office hits and must-see movies.

Well … we have the typical some-what week Labor Day weekend release weekend …
NOVEMBER MAN - This is the CIA flick starring Pierce Brosnan.  So, you may be asking yourself - LIKE MANY - why is his name in this flick Devereaux and not Bond, James Bond.  His co-star, Olga Kurylenko, was even in QUANTUM OF SOLACE.  At least this movie isn't sci-fi … it's a CIA thriller!
Catch up on some good ones this weekend:  If you haven't seen Richard Linklater's BOYHOOD, it's a MUST.  This genius concept of filming one week a year for 13 years is unbelievable!  Or, how about LUCY with Scarlet Johansson kicking some major rear and GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, which, coming from someone who doesn't absolutely LOVE sci-fi is a BIG thumbs up!

Speaking of GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY … it rose to the TOP again followed by the TURTLES!  IF I STAY debuted at third.  This is the excellent Chloe Grace Mortez film in which she is in a coma.  This is a sweet and touching film.  LET'S BE COPS follows at 4 and the extremely inspirational true story, WHEN THE GAME STANDS TALL rounds out the TOP 5!
BLENDED - This is the Adam Sandler/Drew Barrymore movie.  This movie is strong OK, not 100% perfect … but, definitely breaks the spell of the last FOUR wretched Sandler flicks:  THAT'S MY BOY, JACK & JULL AND both GROWNUPS.

The FINAL outdoor movie at Founders Park is tomorrow!  It's KARATE KID - THE ORIGINAL one!  FUN FACT:  The 1948 Yellow Ford from the famous "Wax On/Wax Off" Scene was given to star Ralph Macchio by the producer - AND - he still owns the car!  See for ALL the details and how to get free tix!
