Endangered Shell Knob Man Found Safe

STONE COUNTY, Mo.-- The Missouri State Highway Patrol has canceled the missing person advisory for Robert Davis as he was located and is safe.


STONE COUNTY, Mo.-- The Missouri State Highway Patrol is asking for the public's help to find a Shell Knob man who was last seen Wednesday afternoon.

Missing is 80-year-old Robert Lee Davis. Davis is diagnosed with dementia among other conditions, all of which he does not have medication for. 

 Mr. Davis was seen by an Officer with the Lebanon police department at the Waffle House off of exit 127 off of I-44 at 9 a.m.. Mr Davis advised he was fine and still trying to get to Cassville.

He is described as a:

  • white male
  • gray hair
  • 6' tall, 165lbs
  • wearing a brown jacket and blue jeans
  • bald with some gray hair on sides
  • stubble beard

He was driving a red and white Chevrolet 1500- 2 doors, with damage to the right side door.

Davis left his home at 3333 HWY YY in Shell Knob at 1 p.m. Wednesday en route to Autozone, Walmart,  or Dollar Tree in search of an auto part.

Anyone seeing the missing person,  or vehicle, or anyone having any information related to the endangered missing person should immediately dial 911 to contact the nearest law enforcement agency or call the Stone County Sheriff’s Office-Galena at (417) 357-6116.
