Children who are 4-years-old by July 31 are eligible for the preschool screening. The preschool program is open to all four year old children and will offer full day and half day options. The preschool program is tuition based and can range from $100 per week for full day to no cost depending on family income levels.
Screenings, which are held to evaluate children’s cognitive, motor, speech and language skills, will be by appointment only during the specified time. Parents or guardians must bring a birth certificate for the child, immunization record, Social Security number, proof of residency, information about allergies or special conditions, physician’s phone number, and court order (if applicable) for the child entering preschool.
You may schedule your screening with the West Plains Elementary by calling the school at 417-256-6158.
