This year marks 70 years since these students graduated high school.
They all went to Springfield Senior High, which is now known as Central High School.
They say, at that time, more than 350 graduated in their class. And Tuesday around 40 of them got together at Heritage Cafeteria in Springfield to celebrate the milestone.
"When we graduated, of course the war was going on,” recounts one attendee. “A lot of our boys have already gone to service. And as soon as we graduated, all the rest of them went to service. But it was a different time back then. Definitely."
Attendees say school activities were all the same back then; football, basketball and school dances were all the rage.
They say the big difference though is that they didn't have to worry about drugs.
