Dogwood Canyon to Remain Closed

LAMPE, Mo.--Dogwood Canyon Nature Park, the nature preserve located south of Branson, will remain closed until further notice after historic water levels impacted the park.

The park saw flood levels reached heights never before seen in the park’s nearly 30-year history, according to a press release.

Park officials anticipate it will take several weeks to fully assess the damage before a reopening date can be determined

All guests had vacated the park before conditions became unsafe.

The park’s wildlife populations of bison, elk, deer, longhorn cattle and horses are unharmed. They are now grazing in the upper pastures and receiving their normal daily care from dedicated staff. Other associates are transferring to roles at Big Cedar Lodge so they can continue working while the park remains closed.
