ST. JOE, Ark. – The body of a missing St. Joe man was found in the Buffalo River Monday, according to a statement from the Buffalo National Park Service.

James Wilson Taylor, 49, was reported missing the morning of May 3, after he did not return home from a hunting and kayaking trip in an area well-known to him.

Taylor left on May 2 to float down the Buffalo River from the Bakers Ford access in a kayak to hunt.

The three-day search for the man ended when divers found Taylor’s body in the river a short distance from where some of his personal items were located.
