Child Dies at Greene County In-home Daycare

NEAR ROGERSVILLE, Mo.-- Greene County Sheriff's Deputies said on Thursday a child died at an in-home child care facility despite the efforts of deputies.

According to a press release, Greene County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a home in the 3500 block of East Farm Road 186 in eastern Greene County, just west of Rogersville, where they located a child who was not breathing and unresponsive.

Deputies performed live saving measures and transported the child to a hospital. The child died later at the hospital.

The daycare has been temporarily closed for the investigation.

Deputies are conducting a death investigation and gave no indication in the press release if the death was suspicious.
