Suspect Seeks to Move Trial for Murder of Springfield Couple

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- A man charged with murdering a Springfield couple in their home in 2011 has requested a change of venue out of Greene County for his trial.

Circuit Judge Dan Conklin has scheduled motion hearings for March 17 on the request from Jose Huckleberry, 25. He is accused in the deaths Don and Helen Willingham, both 79 years old.

Huckleberry faces two counts of 1st degree Murder, two counts of Armed Criminal Action, and one count of Burglary. He's currently held in Greene County Jail after wrapping up a prison sentence for an unrelated burglary charge.

The Willinghams were stabbed to death at their home in Greene County just southwest of Springfield on April 25, 2011. Their bodies were found in their home at 2919 W. Swan Street.
