BARRY COUNTY, Mo. -- A cattle rustler from Monett pleaded guilty to stealing thousands of dollars in farm equipment in Barry County back in 2010.

64-year-old Howard Perryman pleaded guilty to four counts of receiving stolen property, which included three tractors and one steer. He also pleaded guilty to one count of tampering in the first degree.

Perryman is one of two men charged in the case where about $350,000 worth of farm equipment was stolen from nearly a dozen Ozarks counties.

The Greene County Sheriff says Perryman has been stealing cattle since the 1960s.

Perryman is also accused of leading law enforcement on a 12-hour chase in 2013 in a stolen truck while he was wanted for cattle and agricultural equipment theft.

He was arrested and charged with multiple felony counts.
