SPRINGFIELD, Mo.-- Car enthusiasts brave the rainy weather today, Mar. 8 to show their support for Hailey Owens.

The gates opened at Remington's on Republic Rd. in Springfield for the Hailey Owens Car Show and Benefit Cruise at 10 am this morning, and the bad weather has not kept car lovers from coming out to show their support.

The car show and cruise was organized to benefit the family of Hailey Owens, the 10-year-old Springfield girl who was abducted and killed Feb. 18.

The event will feature a bake sale, silent auction, and raffle with all of the proceeds going to help the family pay for funeral and other related costs.

Car-Fi in Springfield has also donated their time and equipment to play music for the event.
