Branson Welcomes Vietnam Veterans Reunion

BRANSON, Mo. -- Thousands of Vietnam veterans and their families are being welcomed in Branson, Missouri today, to kick off the annual Vietnam Veterans Reunion.

Opening ceremonies will be at 10am at the Clay Cooper Theater.  Local and nationally known entertainers are set to perform.

Other events planned over the next several days include a POW/MIA Awareness motorcycle ride, Flame of Freedom ceremony and Welcome Home parade on Saturday and Sunday.
The closing show is Sunday, March 30 at the Clay Cooper Theatre.

Branson is known for its warm welcome for veterans, hosting one of the countries largest Veterans Day parades in November each year.

The Veterans Administration estimates 7.3 million veterans of the Vietnam War era are still living.  3.4 million were deployed to Southeast Asia.
