SPRINGFIELD. MO.-- Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Springfield is asking local people to celebrate Earth Day while doing a little Spring cleaning to help raise money for children in our community.

Saturday, April 19th from 10am to 2pm Big Brothers Big Sisters will be taking donations at the Old Tower Theater at 1856 S. Glenstone in Springfield.

They will have a 1-800-Got-Junk truck in the parking lot to drop off your items to as well as E-Waste International to collect unwanted Electronic Waste.

Desired donations include: Clothing, shoes, bedding, toys, books, and computers, and various electronics.

Every pound collected during this donation drive means more funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters to provide positive adult role models to children in need.

Earth Day is Tuesday, April 22.
