Baxter Co. Deputies Investigate Unattended Death, No Foul Play Suspected

BAXTER COUNTY, Ark. – The Baxter County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an unattended death at 1934 CR 635 Friday morning.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies were called to the home where Shannon Elaine Drewry, 33, of Baxter County, was found by another household member.

The resident began performing CPR, in hopes Drewry might still be alive. An ambulance arrived at the home and was unable to revive the woman, however.

Drewry was pronounced dead at the scene by the Baxter County coroner.

The body is being transported to the Arkansas State Medical Examiner’s Office in Little Rock to determine the cause of death.

According to the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, no evidence of foul play was found at the scene.
