SPRINGFIELD, Mo.--12,000 candy-filled eggs were dropped from a helicopter at King’s Way United Methodist Church in Springfield, April 19 during a day-long Easter celebration.

Other Easter activities offered at the church included crafts, games, prizes, a petting zoo, and a separate egg hunts for children age 2 and under.

Last year, hundreds of people attended the event. Chopper Charter, of Hollister, Mo. flies the helicopter used for the event. This is the fifth year for the Egg Drop at King's Way United Methodist Church.
