(CBS News)-- Actor and comedian Tracy Morgan was in critical condition at a hospital early Saturday after his limousine bus overturned in an accident involving multiple vehicles on the New Jersey Turnpike, the police said.
Another passenger in the bus was killed, and five others were critically hurt, State Police Sgt. 1st Class Greg Williams told CBS New York station WCBS-TV.
Morgan, of "Saturday Night Live" and "30 Rock" fame, was in intensive care at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, N.J., Williams told WCBS-TV.
The accident happened at around 1 a.m. near Trenton. Six vehicles were involved, including two tractor-trailer trucks.
Hospital spokesman Peter Haigney told CBS News that four patients were being treated from the accident, three in critical condition and one in fair condition.
Haigney confirmed that one patient in critical condition was named Tracy Morgan but wouldn't confirm or deny that the patient was the comedian.
