NEW THIS WEEK:
DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES - A growing nation of genetically evolved apes is threatened by a band of human survivors, affected by a devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth's dominant species.
AND SO IT GOES - A self-centered realtor enlists the help of his neighbor when he's suddenly left in charge of the granddaughter he never knew existed until his estranged son drops her off at his home. Michael Douglas & Diane Keaton star in this Rob Reiner film.
TOPS AT THE BOX OFFICE:
TRANSFORMERS lead the Holiday box office followed by Melissa McCarthy as TAMMY! TAMMY was ok, but, not nearly as hysterical as I'd hoped. I love McCarthy and her edgy humor, TAMMY was actually a little bit too sweet.
NEW ON DVD:
BAD WORDS - A spelling bee loser sets out to exact revenge by finding a loophole and attempting to win as an adult. The amazingly underrated Jason Bateman stars in and directs this funny little gem.
